Vision
African Innovation envisions a safe, stable, healthy and financially-stable Horn of Africa with no political unrest with a major reduction in poverty.
Collaboration with Penn State departments
In the future, African Innovation hopes to set up permanent collaboration relationships with various Penn State departments. This relationship will be a great one because the individual projects will be more sustainable. Instead of being built at Penn State, the projects will be able to be built directly in Africa, which will greatly decrease transportation costs. Also, the materials used will be locally-available, making the machinery more sustainable and therefore a better solution.
Factors that will influence the Future of this Program
Funding is the main factor that could change the scope of this project. If adequate funding is not obtained, then the project will not be able to continue in the way that was originally planned. Lack of funding will probably also make the project take a longer time to be implemented. The process of applying for grants takes time, so therefore it will be a significant amount of time before the project is able to fully begin.
